Sam joined us in May 2011 and brings nearly 20 years of engineering, construction, project management and operations experience. Sam is overseeing the construction of the first waste-to-fuels project in the country. Prior to joining Fulcrum, he was Senior Vice President of Plant Construction and Operations at Areva where he led the executive team in developing a corporate strategy for expanding into new markets. Sam also held increasingly responsible project management positions at Calpine, most recently as the Construction Manager / Site Director for a 550 megawatt, $350 million natural gas combined-cycle power plant. He was certified by the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator and holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering technology from California Polytechnic State University and an M.B.A from Pepperdine University – Graziadio School of Business.
